Since 1887, the employees and physicians of Saint Francis have carried out our mission of building a healthier community by providing increasingly sophisticated healthcare to all Central Nebraskans.
We have grown from a small hospital to a full-service community hospital to our current status as a regional referral center with almost 100 physicians and more than 1,300 employees.
Since our beginning, we have reached out to the community in a variety of ways such as parish nursing, health screenings, community education and care for the underinsured and uninsured. In recent years, we have contributed more than $20 million a year back to the community.
Our website is a natural step in our community outreach efforts. Here you will find information about health and wellness, data on physicians, a directory of community resources, a newsletter you can receive on a regular basis, and most important, you can learn of our commitment to Central Nebraska.
In 2007, we hope you will share our pride when we complete construction of a nine-story patient tower, designed especially to provide a comfortable, professional, and sophisticated environment for patient care.
The goals of the Foundation will be accomplished through active voluntary leadership and professional staff guidance, with a commitment to a multi-tiered fund-development process in accordance with current legal regulations and accepted AFP* ethical standards.
The purpose of the Foundation is to seek, acquire and manage funds contributed from public and private sources to support those programs and projects determined to be in accord with the mission of the Medical Center and for the creation of healthy communities. Such programs or services may be administered by the Medical Center’s own medical or administrative professionals or in collaboration with other community agencies of compatible purpose.

The SAINT FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit organization created to function in coordination with and support of Saint Francis Medical Center whose mission is to encourage a healthy community through such activities as providing health education programs, informational services, and quality medical care without regard to race, religion, age, sex, or ability to pay.
